Why we built this

Move to Spain started because moving to Spain is genuinely difficult, and the information scattered across forums, embassy PDFs, and gestor blogs is contradictory, outdated, or in Spanish you can't read yet.

We wanted a single place that explains things plainly: what NIE actually is, when you need empadronamiento, what a digital nomad visa really requires, and what to do in what order without missing things that come back to bite you eight months later.

So we built it. The mobile app is free. There's no account, no email capture, no ads. Your data stays on your phone - we don't run a backend.

This site exists to help people find the app. The articles here cover the same ground in more depth than the app's section format allows, and they're free for anyone - app or not.
